...or weeks. Ten weeks. That's all I have left in the United States. My husband's going to be on orders to Germany. And I'm thrilled.
But I'm stressed out, too.
There's so much to do.
Order birth certificates. Social security cards (why has it taken me so long?). Get dogs shots and microchips.
Movers.
Give housing our notice.
Clean.
Have a yard sale. Decide what we don't want to keep.
Learn to speak German. So glad we have free Rosetta Stone.
Look where we get to live...
What an exciting time. I did a move to Ireland without kids, and I remember how stressful and busy and wonderful that time was. I can't imagine the extra load of factoring your two favorite little humans into all of that. I can't wait to hear more. Take care and g'luck!
ReplyDeletewill you be posting on your lunch blog again soon after you move to germany? Also is this move hard on your kids?

I hope things are going well with your move! We just found out a short time ago that we are on our way to Germany too! We have about 2 months left, and oh so much to do :)
ReplyDeleteBest to you!
Hi, Michelle. I hadn't seen an update from you in awhile, and today I woke up wondering how you are doing. So, I thought I'd drop you a quick note to say hello. I hope you are feeling at least a little bit better. And unless your plans have changed, I'm sure your life is crazy right now as you're getting ready for a really big move. Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and wishing you are well. Take care!
